New Germany's 125th anniversary
New Germany will celebrate its 125th anniversary Friday to Sunday, July 13-15, 2012.
A committee of about 30 community residents has been working since early 2010 to plan a celebration that has something for everyone.
There will be music, crafts, an antique car show, a parade, a fireworks display, and a variety of fun activities of all ages.
And, of course, there will be a softball tournament.
“You can’t have a New Germany celebration without softball,” committee member Shirley Jaeger said.

Logo items are available
A variety of logo items commemorating the city’s 125th anniversary are available for purchase at city hall.
Thes include the New Germany history book that was prepared for the city’s 100th anniversary in 1987, an updated history book covering the 25 years from the centennial celebration to the present (available beginning January 2012), mugs, T-shirts, caps, and can cozys, all with the 125th anniversary comemorative logo.
